Taiwan-based BenQ Solar,a subsidiary of AU Optronics(AUO),is currently showcasing its latest AC Unison integrated solar PV solution at PV Taiwan 2012.The firm has also been promoting mini-grid solution for residents in remote areas in Taiwan for saving energy cost.

According to AUO,BenQ Solar's solution can be adopted by residential homes,businesses and power-generating plants.The AC Unison integrated solution can generate power,monitor usage,and store energy.

BenQ Solar added that the firm's solar PV solution is specially for high building density cities in Taiwan.The solution has high salt tolerance as Taiwan is an island surrounded by the sea.The solution comes with an energy monitoring system that allows users to monitor energy generated through PC and handsets.

For remote areas,BenQ Solar provides the mini-grid solution that allows users to store energy generated during daytime.The system is also flexible in substituting energy generated from other sources when the region lacks sunshine.Currently,BenQ Solar is installing the mini-grid solution on one of the remote islands in Penghu and expects the project to be completed before end of 2012.
