According to data released by the Turkish Statistical and Institute (TUIK), Turkey’s export revenues generated by iron and steel totaled US$954 million in April, falling by 11.2% from a month ago but rising by 3.5% year on year.

Meanwhile, the country’s export revenues generated by articles of iron and steel totaled US$497 million in April, decreasing by 8.3% from a month ago but increasing by 1.3% year on year.

In the first four months of this year, the country’s export values of iron and steel amounted to US$3.5 billion, down by 1.2%; those of articles of iron and steel were at US$2 billion, up by 1.4%, both compared to the figures in the same period of 2012.
