Be used as pesticide intermediate, mainly used in the synthesis of the insecticide Prallethrin.

Propynyl chloride is an important chemical intermediate used to introduce propargyl. Currently used in the synthesis of electroplating intermediates, pharmaceutical intermediates and pesticide intermediates. It is itself an excellent metal corrosion inhibitor and rust inhibitor.
